Type 2 diabetes is a disease that may cause health complications; in the Mexican population, the most reported are impaired vision, retinal damage, vision loss and ulcers.
In Mexico, type 2 diabetes prevalence in adults aged 20 years and over presented a slight increase from 2012 to 2016, with 9.2% and 9.4% respectively.
